Tapered roller bearings refer to radial thrust rolling bearings with tapered rollers. There are two types of small and large cone angles. The slight cone angle mainly bears the combined radial, and axial load, predominantly radial load, commonly used for bidirectional, reverse installation, the inner ring, an outer ring can be installed separately, the radial and shaft can be adjusted during installation and use Radial clearance; the large cone angle mainly bears the combined axial and radial loads, while the axial and radial loads are mostly axial loads. It cannot usually be used alone to withstand pure axial loads. When paired (relatively installed at the same end), it can be used to withstand pure radial loads.
The ability of single-row tapered roller bearings to withstand axial loads depends on the contact angle, i.e., the raceway angle of the outer ring—the greater the corner, the higher the axial load capacity. Single row tapered roller bearings are most commonly used in tapered roller bearings. In the front wheel hub of the car, small double-row tapered roller bearings are used. Four-row tapered roller bearings are used in heavy machineries, such as large cold rolling mills and hot rolling mills.
The single-row tapered roller bearing has an outer ring, an inner ring, and a set of tapered rollers. The tapered roller is an inner ring assembly formed by a basket-shaped cage. The outer ring can be separated from the inner ring assembly. According to the ISO tapered roller bearing size standard, any standard type of tapered roller bearing outer ring or inner ring assembly should be able to be internationalized by replacing the same kind of outer ring or inner ring assembly. In other words, in addition to the external dimensions and tolerances of the outer ring of the same model, it must also meet the requirements of ISO492 (GB307), and the cone angle and cone diameter of the inner ring assembly must also comply with the relevant regulations for interchange.
Generally, the tapered angle of the outer ring raceway of a single row tapered roller bearing is between 10 ° and 19 °, which can bear the combined action of axial load and radial load. The higher the cone angle, the greater the ability to withstand axial loads. For bearings with a large cone angle, the rear code is added with B, and the cone angle is between 25 ° ~ 29 °, which can withstand large axial loads. In addition, single row tapered roller bearings can adjust the size of the gap during installation.
The outer ring (or inner ring) of double row tapered roller bearings is a whole. The end faces of the two inner circles (or multiple outer rings) are close to each other with a shim in the middle. The gap is adjusted by the thickness of the gasket. The width of the shim can also be used to improve the pre-interference of double-row tapered roller bearings.
Four-row tapered roller bearings. The performance of this type of bearing is basically the same as that of double-row tapered roller bearings, but its radial load is higher than that of double-row tapered roller bearings, and the limit speed is slightly lower. It is mainly used for heavy machinery.
ZWZ multi-sealed double-row and four-row tapered roller bearings, ZWZ provides long-life, multi-sealed double-row, and four-row tapered roller bearings. The new design of personalized bearings has changed the traditional design method of fully sealed bearings. A new sealing structure combining sealing and dustproof is adopted to improve the sealing effect and improve the sealing performance. Compared with open bearings, the service life of multi-sealed double-row and four-row tapered roller bearings is extended by 20% to 40%. Lubricant consumption is reduced by 80%.
